Production – Live Audio Engineers : Live Sound Engineer

potatoman88 writes"Need a good reliable live sound engineer?
I have a great deal of experience mixing a wide variety of bands around Melbourne in venues such as the Greyhound, the Elephant and Wheelbarrow, the Brunswick, the Birmingham, the Edinburgh Castle, the Johnson etc. I always receive great comments from bands about the monitor mix and from the audience about the front of house mix. I am punctual, reliable, fast, and able to solve problems efficiently. I have my own collection of mics and DI's. Prices start at $30 per band/set.
The name's Sam. Feel free to contact me on 04 1146 2437 or email me at swmckenzie@gmail.com

News : Infinite Decimals + Bird Traps + Scratchplate + Sinuso Dial

neumusak writes"

Sense - Audio / Visual performance @ Glitch

featuring:

infinite decimals / Paul Rodgers
Bird Traps
Scratchplate / Kate Hodgetts
Sinuso Dial

Sense - live performances pushing the overlapping boundaries between sound and vision

Minimal duo infinite decimals (Barnaby Oliver - guitar and Don Rogers - bass) team up with Paul Rodgers (16mm projections and prisms) for an intense,  multisensory, motorik set. - debut CD available at show for $5 or trade  http://www.myspace.com/infinitedecimals

Bird Traps (aka Marcus Skinner) will be playing baritone guitar and backed by Jim Walter on field recordings, organ and processed sounds. Together they weave bold minimal motifs and diffuse instrumental soundscapes. http://www.myspace.com/birdtraps

Scratchplate is the solo project of Dimitra Stankovic (aux assembly). She builds up melodic, repetitive drones into thick swampy sounds that fall in and out of sync with the original theme. Scratchplate are enhanced by richly organic layered visuals from Kate Hodgetts. http://www.myspace.com/scratchplate2

Under his current moniker Sinuso Dial, Matt Leaf uses extended guitar techniques, dsp, field recordings, and a combination of visual processes to present immersive, ambient and seductive audio-visual works. http://www.myspace.com/sinusodial

Thursday May 14, 8pm
Glitch Bar & Cinema, 318 St Georges Rd Nth Fitzroy - http://www.glitch.com.au
