Bands & Artists : Elvis Remembered with Damian Mullin

jojo writes"

Damian Mullin in Melbourne, Australia captures the 1970s Vegas era in his Elvis Remembered Tribute Show and displays the look, voice, moves, charisma and humor that Elvis himself brought to the stage so confidently.

Damians shows are filled with hit after hit from the KING and through out his display he performs the big hits like American Trilogy, My way and You gave me a Mountain, songs that many other tribute artists shy away from, which shows the quality of Damians voice, and makes him a sought after Elvis Tribute Artist.

The Show starts with the smash hit CC Rider with The Big D dressed in the Aloha Jumpsuit with the black Gibson guitar draped over his shoulder while gripping the microphone , his leg is tapping to the beat, the voice captures you immediately and. he takes you on a ride for the next 80 minutes

.Damian has performed at functions for Jules Lund (Channel 9 TV presenter), Merv Hughes (Australian cricketer) Suzie Wilkes( Channel 9 TV Presenter.

He has also performed at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne City and numerous Hotels and functions around Victoria.

In 2010 Damian had his first invite to Parkes Elvis Festival and was a huge hit , receiving a standing ovation at the end of his show.

Shows can be tailored to suit your needs and Damian will work with you to make sure your special function will always be remembered.

Bands & Artists : Daughterboy Jao

hmh writes"Daughterboy Jao has a somewhat colourful history – releasing an EP titled ‘Fake Blood and the Rest Is Unknown’ in 2004 which contained the independent radio favourite titled ‘Thrills’. The EP was followed with a debut album, ‘Simple Matters’, in 2005 which included the singles ‘Better for You and Me’ and ‘Simple Matters’, both of which received rotation on the Triple J airwaves. The band were invited to play and tour with bands including Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Black Keys, Beasts of Bourbon and Queens of the Stone Age as well as undertaking their own tours throughout Australia. 2008 saw songwriter Oliver Jao Smith invite Benjamin W Bunting to bring Daughterboy Jao into a new era of creativity. Will Koder and Dave Mudie completed the line up and Daughterboy Jao have worked solidly perfecting new tunes for a release in February 2010. Daughterboy Jao have also played select and intimate live shows, to celebrate the realization of a desire to create songs which challenge musically yet remain spontaneous and seductive. These sneak previews were met with intrigue, praise and sometimes confusion – this band always elicit a response of some kind. Many opinions have been thrown around describing Daughterboy Jao with a range of nouns, adjectives and ego-stroking comparisons like this: Blending the rawness of the Kinks with a glam Lou Reed, a debt to that classic NYC nihilism shaped by the Velvet Underground and re-popularised by the Strokes. A heavier, dirtier Tom Waits (Alison Smith, Virgin Records). But thats one interpretation and you can be sure that the person next to them heard something quite different.
