~Winterun are here and on a mission to fill the void in Melbourne's music scene.
A Winterun show is power charged and draws of classic moves from their influences as well as some gems, unique to the boys.
Funked out, powered up and grooving, Winterun has created a unique and driving sound. After only 6 months together the band have churned out their first 6 track E.P and are getting ready to crank out their first full length independent release.
Nick, Gav and Guy are 23-year old school mates who have been playing in a bucket load of bands in venues all over Victoria since they were sixteen. Cutting their musical teeth on anything from Rory Gallagher to Metallica and Parliament to Kyuss, together they have developed a tight and unique musical style.
Joel, 21, grew drumming arms under guidance from the likes of Jimmy Chamberlin and Travis Barker. Meeting Nick in a music store in late 2003, Joel's beats were the final ingredient in the audio and visual feast that is Winterun.
