STAR writes"Following on from the hugely successful 'Inaugural Ampt Festival' held in summer earlier this year, promoters peninsula events australia will once again set the peninsula music scene on fire with "Ampt Winterfest", which will be held on Saturday July 30 at the Peninsula Theatre in Mornington. Ampt winterfest will feature yet another awesome line up of 10 of Australia's biggest punk & hardcore bands, playing live over 6 jam packed hours from 3pm in the afternoon, right through until 9pm that night. Headlining this anticipated event will be australia's 'hottest' hardcore band form the city of churches (Adelaide), 'I Killed the Prom Queen', who are making a welcomed stop to Mornington as part of their 19 date national tour. This band has played all over the world even gaining a spot on the biggest hardcore festival in the world- Hellfest. Backing them up will be Melbourne 'Screamo' band Behind Crimson Eyes who have also catapulted themselves to be a name that is on so many peoples lips. BCE first shot to prominence at one of the earlier Ampt gigs held in Somerville last October and since then have gone on to support major international bands like new found glory, alexisonfire & MXPX and due to this have been receiving loads of radio airplay.
Other bands set to perform on the day also include Miles Away (WA), current Industry buzz band and the Peninsula's own Trial Kennedy and up and coming Melbourne bands Armageddon Sky, The Getaway Plan, October Myst, Off by Heart, BTK and Arpejio. Early Bird Tickets are currently available for $20 + Booking Fee until Friday July 15.
