Bands & Artists : 11 Fingers

Johno writes"

11 Fingers Band Profile

The Eleven fingers line up is drawn from a number of Musicians who have a firm footing based in the Blues tradition. The other foot is well and truly tapping in a Rock beat. The Sixties and Seventies chiselled out a number of Blues Rock classics which 11 Fingers perform and aims to both emulate and enhance those tunes.
A recent line up change has seen a warmer edge injected into the sound which gives it greater depth. The Band is strung together by a common aim "to enjoy and make good music"! Which aint too bad, as philosophy's go.

Band History:

The development of this band really came from the bedroom tapes period which reflects a time some 18 years ago when three mates thought that it would be "fun" to knock out some blues - rock music.
This led to the audition and what seems to have been a long list of rotating muso's until our first independent CD cut in 2002. The band disbanded and re-formed as Loaded Dice in 2003/4 with 2005 seeing a new line-up and return to the 11 Fingers direction.

11 Fingers today

Several CD,s and new DVD reflects a strong commitment to playing Rock and Blues music by 6 dedicated band members. Who are looking towards 2006 to offer our services to anyone seeking a band that aim’s at adding some great music to your function.

If you wish to hear more (sample of music or simply wish to gain information about booking etc. please call John : 0408590618)

Bands & Artists : The Ancient Idols

ancient_idol writes"

The Music
The Ancient Idols band is not just your ordinary cover band; the band has a unique ability to find musical treasures that appeal to mature minded audiences both young and old.

The bands roots can be traced back 30 years and has its foundations in good old Australian rock & blues. The current song list covers a multitude of artists. This is music that everybody loves - no other bands are currently playing this type of musical selection.

With a diversity of material that elicits a myriad of emotions, this band captures the essence of the original recording but with the Ancient Idols unique feel.

The Band
This 4 piece band has many years of experience and its members have played as professionals for most of this time. Some of our ancient history includes playing all the major venues and festivals from the 70's through to recent times; eg: Sunbury, Thumpin' Tum, Catcher, The Espy, Sebastians, Berties, St Kilda Festival; you name it they have played it. Their history includes bands such as The Alroy Band, Magna Carta, Robin & the Hoods, Big Business, Jack Rabbit & the Pubic Hares; the list goes on!

Since forming the Ancient Idols 12 months ago the band has been doing private functions (and in its spare time has been praying for further work!)

We are serious about our music and even more serious about having fun!

Chris Apthorpe - Guitar & Vocals
Alan Lawson - Guitar & Vocals
Ian Linsell - Drums & Vocals
Lyndon Apthorpe - Bass Guitar
