News : Wolves Heading to the U.S
wolves writes"A lot can happen in a year, and for Wolves, Perth’s
latest up and comers, the statement couldn’t ring truer. After forging a
formidable reputation around town for their electric live shows, the band have
managed to garner significant praise from local press, played over 20 shows
including the coveted main support for Canadian indie hero’s Metric and written
their debut full-length record. With this all happening within just a year of
the line-up falling into place, it’s hard to imagine Wolves have any more
tricks left up their sleeve. None perhaps, except for the recent invitation from
the band’s latest admirer, Sylvia Massy. After hearing the band online, Massy,
who has hosted the likes of System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool and
Johnny Cash at her Californian recording ranch, extended Wolves an invite to head
stateside to record their debut long-player. So, with this in the bag, the lads
and lady from Wolves head off on August 15th and will return with an album to be released early next year.www.myspace.com/wolvesinperth "
