founder writes"See before you go is the is message from new Australian 100% indie showcase site and online store Just launched, the Video Gig Guide allows indie fans, labels and venues to preview artist's live gigs before going. The idea was the brainchild of Public Revolution's IT Director Ini Nam, who also co-designed Public Revolution's impressive 100% flash site. For fans it's free to use but only artists/labels that register with the site as members can gain access to placing their gigs in the guide due to the complimentary video editing done by PR. Current artists with videos to preview include The Winnie Coopers, The Kentinos, 8 Ball Aitken, Elation, Sydonia, and Men In Blues.Other impressive features for indie artists and fans on the PR site include 24/7 streaming radio, backstage pics gallery, indie ringtones, reviews, plus the site features other forms of independent art such as short film previews, animation and a mini-digital art gallery, and heaps more. News : Public Revolution get exclusive release of new songs by 26.

founder writes"Melbourne rockers 26 and online indie portal have announced new songs Let Down and Friendly Fire to be released exclusively through Public The agreement comes in the wake of their successful first album The King Must Die which received widespread acclaim and airplay on JJJ, and netted the band thousands of myspace fans. Self managed, 26 are one of the smart new breed of bands taking full advantage of the internet to DIY their success to retain full ownership and control of their songs, image, career and ultimately all profit.
"The internet now allows bands/managers to do their own marketing and advertising which is really where Public Revolution shines." commented founder Terry Church, "We designed the site to be much more than just a free online store 'plug-in' for indie artists/managers, it's true purpose is an advertising portal with streaming radio, video, gig guide, and many places for artists to be featured." Church said.
Singer and manager Nick O'donnell agreed as to the internet's advantages by saying "Sites like myspace and Public Revolution allowed us to organise our whole tour and sales online. We chose Public Revolution because they're all about quality... their mp3's are the highest at 192kbps and sell for 99cents, and they don't allow just anyone to upload and join - you have to submit your music and be invited." He said. "It's also nice to see some financial reward for a change rather than give our songs away."
The songs Let Down and Friendly Fire will be available exclusively through for the entire month of July following their coming tour which starts in Adelaide on the 13th of July and finishes in Brisbane on the 20th July. For full details go to or or look for them on"

News : The Dolly Rocker Movement 'Electric Sunshine' Tour

barflypromotions writes"THE DOLLY ROCKER MOVEMENT

Thursday 3 August – Ding Dong Lounge
Saturday 5 August – Cobra Room at The Tote

Hailing from Sydney The Dolly Rocker Movement is a soundscape that you just have to experience to believe. With ideas derived from the more primitive side of the great rock n’ roll divide The Dolly Rocker Movement have developed a style and sound bearing a true influence of late 60’s garage, psychedelia and freakbeat, with splashes of west coast folk.

The Dolly Rocker Movement launches their debut album 'Electric Sunshine' (Out now on Off The Hip Records) into the pulsating confines of your inner existence at two Melbourne shows:

Thursday 3 August – At Ding Dong Lounge with Tic Toc Tokyo, Bungalow Sounds and Detective Social.

Saturday 5 August – Cobra Room at The Tote with Lords of Gravity.

“This band is a soundscape that you just have to experience to believe, and they WANT you to believe.” – Faster Louder
“These guys really are the spit. They effortlessly mesmerize. Enthralled? You should be. Huge? They should be.”- Steve Anderson, Drum Media

“Mightily impressed...we mean it man...excellent swinging-sixties tinged psych-pop hypnosis”-
Murray Engleheart, Drum Media.

“Why can't anyone in the States make music this brilliant? Can't wait for your first album...” – Greg Shaw (RIP), Bomp Records
