noakes writes"FLOOD SONGS/ JUNE SONGS  is the debut album by Perth indie phantasms THE PREYTELLS. The album's feature songs "Lord Hold My Hand", "Shout" and "Sacramento" have been  played on   Triple J, FBI, Triple R and RTR.

Fourteen tracks that invade the body and electrify the mind, FLOOD SONGS/ JUNE SONGS is a blazing journey through the underworld of art-pop where each track differs from the last  - one moment a golden pop song, a Californian sunset, the next a flood of shattering glass, blood curdling shrieks and doomsday drumming. The album showcases The Preytells'  clear artistic vision and lands the band in the backyard of The Raveonettes and The Pixies, while smashing ELO into the Brian Jonestown Massacre.

The Preytells launch their debut album on the 26th of September in WA at the Rosemount Hotel, North Perth,  and will be touring nationally in October 2009.  Melbourne dates include:

1st Oct at Brunswick Hotel, Brunswick
2nd Oct at Revolver Upstairs, Prahran

Other tour dates to be announced soon.

The Preytells hit the scene in 2005 winning the National Campus Band Competition and since then have made appearances at major festivals (Southbound, St Jerome's Laneway Festival), supported the likes of Little Barrie (UK), Oh Mercy and End of Fashion and have released 3 EPs, COULD I CHANGE YOUR MIND (2007), SHOUT/I'M SO SORRY(2008) and SACRAMENTO (2008).

“… a rich cross-pollination of pop smarts and artistic bravery.” – Xpress Magazine, Perth.

“Every so often you hear a record and just know that you’re hearing the beginning of something really special.” –  Drum Media Magazine, Sydney.

“The Preytells are definitely tight…dreamy pop melodies, mature guitar lines, and some good hooks too….It’s top shelf gangly pop!” – Vijay Khurana, Triple J

clearspringsent writes" Laura Hill & The Tuesday Bandits Melbourne Tour 10th to 13th of September   "Catch The Bug"   Fresh from the South, Laura Hill & The Tuesday Bandits are an uplifting musical *****tail mixing folk, pop, blues and roots with a pinch of salt, sun, and surf. News : Reptiles + Dozers + Teen Archer

peri writes"After releasing and touring their critically supported debut EP Smell My Skin whilst putting on little shows in some of the darkest of corners, Melbourne swamp punks Reptiles are playing some shows along the east coast before they slither away to begin working on their first record. Reptiles will be bringing their brand of filthy punk to the Newtown Workers Club on Friday August 7th and with DJ's spinning creepy stuff all night, and locals Dozers and Teen Archer making a lot of noise, it's going to be a good ol' excuse to get real munted!  Entry's only $10. Doors 9pm. Newtown Workers Club/old Rob Roy Hotel, Cnr Gertrude & Brunswick Streets, Fitzroy. "
