Kippa-Dee writes "Daddy's Little Girl are an up and coming rock/pop band,
fronted by the scintillating Cynthia Gallie.
Daddy’s Little Girl have been likened to the works of
Fleetwood Mac, Baby Animals, and Evanescence, with fans saying they sound like
Skunk Anansie, and “early No Doubt, before they sucked”.
With an EP peppered with didgeridoos, harmonicas and guest
appearances, their next recording (Due September) is going to be phenomenal.
They’ve performed over a hundred gigs to date, from The Espy
to The Arthouse, from charity gigs to battles. With up and coming tours
including the Freeza Palooza sponsored under-age gig at the prestigious
Manningham Club, a Hi-Fi Bar charity gig, Tasmania, NSW, QLD & European
tours planned, not to mention supporting the venerable Hoodoo Guru’s at The
Ferntree Gully Hotel, you know this is one to watch.
With a diversified sound, as far reaching as classic blues
and jazz, through to modern day funk and rock, with a drummer that likes it a
little bit off-beat, a bassist that likes to tease the melody, driving guitar
riffs, and the ever commanding stage-presence and performer Cynthia fronting
the band, there’s a little something here for everyone, no matter what you’re
into.
Think you know where the Aussie music scene is headed? Think
again. Daddy’s Little Girl ain’t so innocent anymore.
