In my time playing, teaching and coaching I have found a few common errors in thinking that hold most people back from reaching their true potential as Guitar Players. The broad issue is dealing with change but let me break it down into 3 areas.

 1. Keep an open mind - some people just can't let go of preconceived ideas. To grow you need an open and clear mind.

 2. Take the time - it takes as long as it takes. If you take the time to do things well you will get the result you want, it's that simple.

 3. Focus - know what it is you are wanting to acheive, have clear picture. On a daily basis understand what it is you need to practice to get there. Noodling and practice are not the same thing, both are valid, just different.
