Dear Geoff and other Mods,
I've checked out the new Melband site, and the first thing I notice is that it's gone to the pay-per contact format, like other sites.
That sucks! - Not all Musicians can afford that and this is a great free resource!
The second thing is it's format is a lot different, and not the old style bulliten board like this, which has a great simple appeal in this age of Add driven SPAM forums.
Like the Tote hotel, this is a great old school forum for bands.
Please don't Kill it!

I’ve been running the site free since 1998. I did it as a side to my business.
Now I am not running that business but still playing music it needs to pay its own way - hence the optional subscription model. The site is still free and if you want extra features you can opt to pay for them. It’s less than one beer a month!
Hosting fees for this size website are not cheap! _________________
