Our trad jazz practice group has been meeting regularly on Wednesday nights in Richmond, Melbourne, for around ten years. We're a practice group, not a band, and our aim is to have fun, and to develop our improvisational skills.

Our line-up currently comprises drums, tuba, piano, banjo, guitar, trombone, two clarinets, trumpet, one or two saxes and a cello. You can learn a little more about us, and see the kinds of charts we typically play, by visiting http://www.tradjazzers.com.

Our regular drummer is going to be absent on 11, 18, 25 October and 1 November, and our usual backup drummer can't help us out on this occasion.

We're looking for a friendly, competent drummer interested in joining us on these dates who might be available as a backup drummer in future. We play inside a church in Church Street from 6:30 to 8:30 Wednesdays.

If you're interested, please leave a message at http://www.tradjazzers.com/contact-us.html (not at this site, please, as my private message function here appears to be broken).
